Summary
Samantha Hart is a fantasy genre illustrator. Born in Old Saybrook Connecticut, she gained an early interest in art through attending classes at the Kathleen E. Goodwin Elementary School. She graduated from the University of New Haven in 2022 with a BFA in Illustration. Hart enjoys working in traditional media such as pencil, pen, ink, and watercolors, in combination with digital media programs such as Photoshop and Procreate. Through books and art, she discovered a passion for fantasy worlds and creatures, bringing them to life through illustration. In June of 2023, she worked as a freelance artist for the role-playing game company Chaosium. She is currently working with connections to the Old Saybrook Public High School as a freelance illustrator. Hart’s favorite hobbies that inspire her art, include writing, hiking, and reading. As well as attending the University of New Haven, Hart also attended the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts as a freshman where she began her college-level studies in illustration.
